Stonehill Loft is situated on the edge of the Ochills, close to the site of the famous Jacobite battle of Sheriffmuir.
A quiet yet central location, just 15 minutes from Stirling city, 25 minutes from the Trossachs National Park and 1 hour train ride from the bright lights of Edinburgh or Glasgow. There are lots of things to see and do and here are some of our favourites.

Central Scotland craft school
A centre for creative learning in Dunblane offers artisan classes ranging from one day workshops to week-long courses, for everyone from complete beginners to established professional makers. ‘A list’ crafters from all over the country are lined up to deliver a range of craft classes with a focus on heritage and endangered crafts, and skilled hand-making.
Based right next door to the Loft Uniquely Scotland organise small bespoke tours of Scotland guided by Archie. The tours focus on giving you a true Scottish experience whether it's whisky, lochs, history or fishing, you decide. Archie might even get the bagpipes out for you!
Bike, paddle board, kayak, Canoe in the Trossachs National Park with Roll Outdoors based in nearby Callander.
You can taste whisky, go on a warehouse or production tour situated in an old cotton mill. There is also a special 'deal' for drivers so you can enjoy a tipple when you get home.
